Drug Drop-Off Locations
Don’t risk your unwanted prescriptions getting into an illicit supply pipeline. Drug Free Stark County has collaborated with law enforcement throughout Stark County to establish more than a dozen permanent drug drop-off locations.
Opiate and Addiction Task Force
In partnership with the Stark County Mental Health & Addiction Recovery, the Opiate and Addiction Task Force was created as a place for all sectors of Stark County to come together and address the issue of opiates here at home. The task force is comprised of law enforcement, medical personnel, treatment providers, community leaders, people with lived experience, and parents.

Drug Free Stark County
Drug Free Stark County operates as a community coalition led by Stark County Mental Health & Addiction Recovery. It is a partnership of law enforcement, schools, faith-based organizations, parents, youth, business, health care and treatment providers who work to increase public awareness of the harmful effects of substance abuse.
Stark County’s heroin epidemic
Stark County’s heroin epidemic is on the rise with the devastating effects of prescription drug addiction leading to a resurgence of heroin addiction. The number of people seeking opiate treatment since 2006 has increased more than 200% county wide. Local resources can be found at the following link.
Suicide Prevention Resources
American Association of Suicidology
is a national non-profit organization focused on suicide prevention. American Association of Suicidology also provides current scientific information, resources, information and a specific section for suicide survivors.
Man Therapy
is a resource designed for working-age men (25-54), that utilizes humor to decrease stigma and encourage help-seeking behavior. Man Therapy provides information on mental health, including screenings and encouragement by utilizing an interactive website with videos to provide information, resources and self-help tips.
Ohio Suicide Prevention Foundation
provides suicide prevention information and resources to all Ohioans. Ohio Suicide Prevention Foundation also provides data, statistics as well as past presentations.

is a guide to various situations regarding suicide loss and post-vention planning.
Right Direction for Me
is an effort from the Partnership for Workplace Mental Health, a program of the American Psychiatric Foundation and Employers Health Coalition, Inc. whose mission is to raise awareness regarding depression and stress in the workplace. Right Direction for Me also provides information on resources and where to get help.
