Description: This workshop is a unique and interactive opportunity beginning with a presentation from Angela Lariviere from YouthMOVE Ohio following a group of panelists where audience questions and discussion are encouraged. Angela will be presenting on the challenges youth face post COVID and how the new Ohio Certification for Youth Peer Support can be a resource for communities. This will include tips for agencies on how to utilize Youth Peer Support as a critical resource for the population they serve.
Participants will gain insight:
1. Into the challenges youth face post COVID through the voice of youth leaders around Ohio.
2. Into mental health resources such as youth peer support and YouthMOVE groups
3. Of youth need in Ohio based on YouthMOVE Ohio State Council and a statewide survey of youth leaders.
4. On how Certified Youth Peer Support will be a valuable resource to youth.
5. On the value of youth voice through YouthMOVE.

The Opiate Task Force is a community based coalition with the purpose of reducing opiate use, abuse, overdose and deaths in Stark County. It is open to anyone interested in being a part of a group of people concerned about, and willing to address the epidemic of prescription drugs and specifically, opiates in the community and in the State of Ohio.
