Who should attend: Directed towards CPSTs and their supervisors, but open to anyone interested in attending.
About the training: This presentation will cover terms and definitions of note to trans* and gender non-conforming clients and families in treatment. Increase knowledge of current climate and challenges facing the LGBTQ community, such as: bathroom usage, school rules/policies, legal protections (and lack thereof), legal documentation options, commonly diagnosed co-occurring mental illnesses, advocacy opportunities for clients, families, and workers. Presentation will provide links to resources locally, regionally and nationally including: media, support groups, legal services, treatment services, online support, continuing education opportunities.

Parking – Parking located off of Tuscarawas Avenue, REM Parking. Vouchers provided.
Cost – This is a free training. Lunch will be at the discretion of the attendee. Feel free to bring lunch with you. The Inclusion Room offers a microwave and a mini fridge.
