Populations Focus Learning Series: Veterans Culture and Community
Who should attend: Behavioral Health Case Managers, Community Health Workers, Leadership Staff, Nurses, Program Planning Staff, Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Counselors, Social Workers and Certified Peer Support Specialists, Educators, System Navigators and/or Cultural Brokers are encouraged to attend.
About this event: The military culture is one of unique practices, traditions, and beliefs that represent a shared unifying language with a distinct set of guiding principles. As veterans reintegrate into civilian life, the values and aspects of identity they acquired while serving will continue to be important as they move forward. We will learn how to ensure effective, understandable and respectful care for veterans as we increase our knowledge and understanding of the community’s needs. 2.0 CEUs pending. Held via Zoom.
