Who should attend: Open to supervisors who have previously completed the Motivational Interviewing I and II.

About the training: Supervisors who provide meaningful supervision of Motivational Interviewing (MI) skill-development to service-team members must be equipped with some essential tools, including skill-evaluation, feedback, and planning. Participants must have prior training and experience in MI. Participants will review MI resources for applicability in their supervision to help staff develop MI competencies. Participants will be introduced to the Behaviour Change Counseling Index (BECCI) as a resource for observing and giving feedback to staff regarding their behavior change interactions with individual’s they serve. This event features large and small group discussions and practical exercises which facilitate familiarity with available resources.

Location – Stark County Mental Health & Addiction Recovery; 121 Cleveland Avenue SW, Canton, OH 44702.

Parking – Parking located off of Tuscarawas Avenue, REM Parking.  $7.00 Fee.

Cost – This is a free training. Lunch will be at the discretion of the attendee.

Education credits – 6.0 CEUs available.
