Who should attend: Directed towards CPSTs and their supervisors, but open to anyone interested in attending.

About this event: Cultural Humility is the ability to maintain an interpersonal stance that is other-oriented (or open to the other) in relation to aspects of cultural identity that are most important to the [person]. This training will take you in a direction of understanding on how to apply cultural competency to a different level and being able to know that it is a lifelong commitment in learning about other cultures. You will be able to apply Cultural Humility concepts to the mental health and/or addiction treatment services provided to minority groups.

Location – Stark County Mental Health & Addiction Recovery, Inclusion Room; 121 Cleveland Avenue SW, Canton, OH 44702.

Parking – Parking located off of Tuscarawas Avenue, REM Parking.  Vouchers provided.

Cost – This is a free training. Lunch will be at the discretion of the attendee. Feel free to bring lunch with you.  The Inclusion Room offers a microwave and a mini fridge.

Education credits – Not applicable.
