About the training: The Cultural Competency Training (CCT) will be going over topics that are the fundamental of cultural competency to cultural humility, which will help attendees gain a better understanding of the National Standards for Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services (CLAS) and develop skills in diverse communities. The CCT curriculum includes, but is not limited to: compelling reasons for cultural competence, the dynamics of diversity, the impact of personal culture on communication, the cultural bumps, and communicating effectively through an interpreter. An advanced CLC training will be offered in the next fiscal year. Individuals who attend this basic will be able to attend that training.
