Who should attend: Behavioral Health Case Managers, Community Health Workers, Leadership Staff, Nurses, Program Planning Staff, Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Counselors, Social Workers and Certified Peer Support Specialists, Educators, System Navigators and/or Cultural Brokers are encouraged to attend.

About this event: LGBTQ individuals face a particular set of challenges when facing homelessness. While experiencing homelessness, LGBTQ individuals, are often at a heightened risk of violence, abuse, and exploitation compared with their heterosexual peers.

Cost – This is a free training.

Coming Together Stark County (CTSC) will host their 2018 Diversity & Inclusion Conference on Friday, April 13 with a full day focus on LGBTQ: Super Powers & Super Challenges.

By registering for this StarkMHAR training, Cultural Influences and Health Care Series: LGBTQ Youth Homelessness, CTSC will provide a discounted registration fee at $100.00 for the Diversity & Inclusion Conference. March 15 training attendees will qualify for the Early Registration fee until April 6. This will provide an extended opportunity to learn more about the LGBTQ community.
