Who should attend: Personnel of Provider Agencies

About the training: Bridging the Gap will be held on Wednesday, January 9, 2019. Participants will have a new insight and understanding of the importance of cultural competence in supporting African American youth and families. Participants will also understand the importance of partnering with faith leaders and the role they can play in addressing and advocating for individuals, youth and families affected by mental health condition and co-occurring disorders. Participants will understand how unintentional bias can impact needed treatment and care for African Americans and populations at risk. A continental breakfast will be provided.
