About this event: 

Stark County Mental Health & Addiction Recovery supports the Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) training of law enforcement professionals in our community. Crucial to reducing violence and ensuring successful intervention of mental health and substance use situations, officers are trained in proven and effective communication techniques.

This is an advanced Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) training containing a Mental Health Review led by NAMI Stark County. The topics covered include: What is Mental Illness, Executive Functioning, Anosognosia, Mental Health Diagnosis, Stigma, Communication, and Stress.  This can serve as a review for those who have taken the Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) certification course or an overview for those who have not attended previous CIT trainings.
